WONDER Link Worker

WONDER Link Worker:

The Magdalene Group has been providing services to women and young people, affected by sexual exploitation and coercion, for over 20 years.

We are pleased to be expanding our service to include a specialist Link Worker to work on the Wonder project in partnership with Julian Support and Sue Lambert Trust. The Wonder Project is looking to develop a whole system approach for the rehabilitation of female offenders, utilising a conditional caution to divert consenting women out of custody and into a community based system of gender specific support and assessment of needs.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to take forward the development and delivery of interventions targeted at vulnerable and marginalised women 18+ diverting them wherever possible from appearing at court and into a positive intervention aimed at preventing re-offending and also diverting those at risk of entering the Criminal Justice System.

The Link Worker’s Role will be to:

  • Connect or reconnect a woman with relevant services in the community
  • Support and mentor women in following their access and use of services

You will have experience in engaging and working with vulnerable women and improving their well-being and be familiar with the Reducing Reoffending Pathways and guiding and empowering women in completing the Justice Outcomes Star.

This post is subject to a Genuine Occupational Requirement for a female due to the nature of the job role.

If you welcome a challenge and would like to work as part of a small team dedicated to supporting women with complex and multiple needs then please download an application pack from http://magdalenegroup.org/job-vacancies/

Please return completed application forms to vivienne@magdalenegroup.org or post to 61 King Street, Norwich, NR1 1PH.

Closing Date for Applications: 5 p.m. Monday 26th June, 2017.
