Jigsaw Professionals offers advice and further guidance to professionals around the issues addressed in the Jigsaw Education Programme.  We offer a number of different courses which we can deliver at our premises or at your own organisation.

An Introduction to Child Sexual Exploitation

A 3 hour course taking a brief look at what child sexual exploitation is, the different forms that it takes, current trends in the UK, real life case studies, signs that children and young people may be caught up in exploitative relationships and recent research and policies.

Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness Course

A day’s course with an in depth look at:

  • what sexual exploitation is,
  • the different forms it takes such as internet, sexting, boyfriend and party models,
  • current trends in the UK,
  • real life case studies,
  • signs to look out for if children and young people are being caught up in exploitative relationships,
  • the impact CSE has on children and young people,
  • how to respond to CSE,
  • the Norfolk referral process,
  • recent research and policies,
  • further information and resources.

This is a 6 hour training course.

CEOP Think u Know

This is a 3.5 hour course delivered on  behalf of the Child Exploitation Online Protection Centre.  The course takes a look at who CEOP are and the work they are doing and takes an in depth look at different technologies that young people are using and the risks that are posed by them.  These include social networking sites, instant messenger, gaming sites and consoles, webcams and mobile technology.  The rest of the time is then spent looking at the Think u Know education package which provides a number of resources such as films, posters, lesson plans and presentations that can be used directly with children from 4 years up to 19/20 year olds and parents/carers.
