Volunteer Recruitment

We are seeking enthusiastic & reliable volunteers for various roles within The Magdalene Group front-line services, but particularly with the Doorway women’s service, to be involved in the late evening outreach programme, daytime drop-in service, administration or client support roles. We also require a volunteer co-ordinator (approx. 5-10 hours a week) – mostly remote, but with occasional face-to-face work. We require a minimum commitment of one session/approx. 3-5 hours per month. We require good references, & a basic DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check. In return, we provide a robust induction, ongoing training, regular supervision, references if required, and great experience. Due to the nature of the volunteering role, it is a General Occupational Requirement that this position be filled by a female, (Equality Act 2010.) Please complete an application form & return to support@magdalenegroup.org as soon as possible. We will be holding a presentation evening for volunteer recruitment from 5.30 p.m. on Tuesday 3rd October. Do let us know if you would like to attend - ring 01603 610256 to book your place.

Thriving Workplaces

"I attended a quarterly networking event hosted by Thriving Workplaces at St George's Works in Norwich. Not only was it great to meet other like-minded professionals who are also passionate about the wellbeing of their staff, the Thriving workplaces team ooze absolute enthusiasm for what they do so it was lovely to see how many organisations and companies have been supported by them. Included in the networking event was a briefing on what to do if someone has a cardiac arrest, by Prior Power solutions; we even had a refresh on resuscitation and how to use defibrillators!" Jade Todd, Team Leader

Day out at Highball Climbing Centre

Lauren & JK, two of our Rose team's CSE Practitioners, accompanied two of our young people, on a day out to the Highball Climbing Centre in Norwich. "Our trip to Highball- the four of us had a wonderful afternoon and left incredibly tired! The staff at Highball were so friendly and helped us to feel welcome and enjoy our time there" - Lauren Harris.

A day of two halves…….

A day of two halves…….

After a busy morning's annual clear out & tidy up in & around the offices, we were amply rewarded with afternoon tea at The Norfolk Mead Hotel, Coltishall. It was a lovely spread, in a glorious setting, & a welcome opportunity to unwind.
