More on the High Sheriff’s visit…….

"Suzi and I - along with some members of staff - were delighted to receive a visit from the High Sheriff of Norfolk, Professor Krishna Sethia, and his wife a few weeks ago. We all know the world is a small one but Professor Sethia, who is a urologist at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, worked with Alan Green - Doreen’s husband - and knew all about her. The professor and his wife were both very interested to find out more about how The Magdalene Group was formed and in the progress made over the last thirty years. Like many people in Norfolk they were unaware of the difference our charity makes to so many people’s lives and expressed their gratitude on behalf of our clients." Georgina Holloway, Chair of Trustees

Spot the signs : an introduction to CSE

The young people's team - Jacqueline, Laura, Maria & Lauren - held their first community leaders event online, to raise awareness of child sexual exploitation (CSE) in Norfolk. Conversations included : understanding the signs of sexual exploitation, what risks sexual exploitation can present, what makes a young person vulnerable, and understanding the local processes and next steps safe adults can take to safeguard young people in Norfolk. All attendees were so pleased with the presentation; some of the comments were : "thank you so much for the session, it was very informative," "I did not know there are so many apps out there, thank you for introducing them to us," & "push and pull factors - I had no idea what they are and thank you for explaining it to us."
