Helplines training

"I was really pleased to join the team today for 'Essential helpline skills' training, delivered by Rachael Wyartt of the Helplines Partnership. Thought-provoking, & with plenty of opportunity for inter-action, this was such a valuable experience. (Very nice lunch from The Cafe Club too!)" Remember - free confidential support is available from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday on our helplines - 0808 800 1030 for Doorway Women's Services & 0808 800 1037 for the Rose Project. Our sexual health helpline - 0808 800 1037 - is available on a Tuesday evening from 4 until 6 p.m.

LEGs have nominated The Magdalene Group as their charity to fund-raise for this year, & their membership will be collecting with a variety of events throughout 2018. Tricky Period

Tricky Period

Homeless women and females on low incomes will benefit from a new service set up to provide free sanitary products at Norwich’s main libraries. The Tricky Period project involves the libraries taking donations of products and handing them out to people who cannot afford them, with no questions asked about proof of eligibility. The Magdalene Group supports this initiative & can provide its service-users with any sanitary products they require.

Volunteering opportunities

We are always looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to join our team. In return for your support we provide our volunteers with a robust induction and ongoing training in all areas. All volunteers will require a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS). Follow the Get Involved link above for more information.
