Night-Time Strut 2025

Thank You!

We held our second Night-Time Strut raising awareness of Violence against Women and Girls on Thursday 19th June in Norwich. We would like to thank every one of the 100+ people who joined us in raising our voices to demand an end to the violence that women and girls experience.

The Invidia Rock & Soul Choir’s incredible energy inspired everyone, along with the emotional and poignant poem by Naomi, Curate of St Peter Mancroft, as well as the reading of the names of every woman killed by violence over this past year. The feedback from those taking part was amazing.

This year’s night-time strut was a powerful reminder of why we come together, to raise our voices, honour the lives lost, and stand against violence towards women and girls.

Feeling grounded this morning after attending a walk and vigil by The Magdalene Group last night, the theme was raising voices and we had the wonderful Invidia Voices. My takeaway from the night, we will do this until there are no more names to read out.

The Magdalene Group has worked to support women and young people in the area for 30 years.  We hear about the most prolific cases for women, the murders, but underneath that we just need to see a healthy and safe environment. Thank you to our community partners and supporters  in making this event successful. Thank you to all that joined us and keep watching for details on what we want to do for next year.
