Sessions for professionals

Our popular occasional sessions for professionals continue online for the moment. Hosted by members of our Rose & Doorway teams, they provide not only an opportunity for us to share the work of The Magdalene Group but also for professionals from other agencies to talk about their roles and experiences, & between us we can share best practice. The next session takes place from 10 - 11 a.m. on Tuesday 29th November; if you would like to attend, please contact the office on 01603 610256 to book a place, as numbers are limited. One of our most recent guests said "I found the session really helpful, thank you! It was great to learn more about the services offered and consider how these could support our current and future participants." Do join us if you can.

Ahead of Trustees Week………..

Now in its 12th year, Trustees’ Week - 7th - 11th November - is a chance for everyone to come together and mark the amazing achievements of the hundreds of thousands of volunteer trustees who run charities in England and Wales. It is about taking a moment to shine a light on trustees, about saying thank you to those who serve their communities and the causes they care for. And it is about encouraging more people to consider what they might be able to offer as a charity trustee, and what they might gain from the experience. We support Trustees' Week, & would like to pass on our sincerest thanks to our lovely trustees - Georgie, Nick, Caroline, Rowland, Lucy & Ngozi - for all they do to support us at The Magdalene Group. Thank you is never enough.

World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day

The World Health Organisation recognises World Mental Health Day on 10 October every year. The theme of 2022's World Mental Health Day, set by the World Federation for Mental Health, is 'Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority'. For over 70 years, they have been working to make sure that mental health is treated on a par with physical health. Mental health problems exist in our lives, families, workplaces and communities, impacting everyone. We need to do as much as possible to prevent mental ill-health – as individuals and as a society. World Mental Health Day is also a chance to talk about mental health in general, how we need to look after it, and how important it is to talk about things and get help if you are struggling.
