Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Practitioner

The Magdalene Group is a well-respected, award-winning, innovative women-only organisation, established in 1994, providing trauma- and gender-informed services with the violence against women and girls (VAWG) agenda at the heart of all that we do.

Are you passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives? Do you have strong empathy, resilience and a commitment to supporting those affected by trauma?  Are you experienced at safeguarding? We are looking for someone to join our young people’s service to support children and young people throughout Norfolk who have been identified by child sexual exploitation (CSE).

This will involve:

  • Supporting young people to recognise and maintain healthy relationships through 1:1 and group therapeutic work ensuring they feel heard, understood and supported.
  • Act as a Safeguarding Point of Contact for the team to support them with day to day safeguarding concerns.
  • Having a willingness to learn, good communication, active listening, resilience and empathy.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

Salary range: £26,500 – £28,000 per annum (full-time equivalent).

Hours of work: Minimum 30 hours per week, up to 37.5 hours per week.  Flexibility will be required with occasional early mornings, late evenings.

Training Co-ordinator, Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG)

The Jigsaw Programme is a training and education project within the organisation, with an excellent track record of delivery to children, young people and professionals across Norfolk.

We are looking for someone with a comprehensive understanding of the VAWG agenda to develop working relationships and partnerships across different sectors, to maximise opportunities for growth, development and income-generation to bring about sustainability for the programme.

An exciting part of this role is:

  • To develop and implement of a range of accredited sexual violence training, assessment and evaluation packages for professionals across various sectors.
  • To design and deliver workshops to children and young people on a range of topics including: healthy relationships, consent, misogyny, online harms, toxic masculinity and more.
  • To establish a comprehensive data collection system to measure the success and progress of the project as well as incorporating service-user feedback into reviews of the programme.

Salary range: £28,500 – £32,000 per annum (full time equivalent).

Hours of work: 22.5 hours per week.  This new role could include occasional evening and weekend work.
