Children’s Mental Health Week

Children’s Mental Health Week

A new campaign is launching this week aimed at helping promote emotional well-being and resilience in children and young people. ‘This is how #WeveGotThis’ will get young people sharing their top tips on getting through the pandemic via social media platforms, such as TikTok and Instagram. Its launch coincides with Children’s Mental Health Week, which runs from 1-7 February. Norfolk County Council is leading the campaign, on behalf of the Norfolk Children’s Safeguarding Partnership, recognising the challenges that children, young people and their families are experiencing in lockdown.

Welcome…

...to Eve-Marie Wright, student social worker, who joins us on placement from UEA for the next few weeks. We look forward to working with her.

Thank you for gift boxes.

Thank you for gift boxes.

These lovely gift boxes are from Sadhia, who is currently working on a project to empower vulnerable young girls in Norwich; particularly working together with New Routes Integration Charity who support families of refugees, asylum seekers and isolated migrants living in Norwich, & hoping to distribute approximately 50 gift boxes (for FREE) to include basic sanitary and hygiene products as well as educational material for the young girls. Please see summarised a short story on the JustGiving Page of the project in general: Project PowHER Period, inspired by Scotland's new policy of making sanitary products free to access.

STIQ Day : 14th January
