Sessions for Professionals

Our popular occasional sessions for professionals continue; hosted by members of our Rose & Doorway teams, they provide not only an opportunity for us to share the work of The Magdalene Group, but also for professionals from other agencies to talk about their roles and experiences, & between us we can share best practice. Next sessions will take place from 10 - 11 a.m. online, on Tuesday 18th November & Wednesday 17th December. Women’s Rough-Sleeper Census 2025

As part of the Women's Rough-Sleeper Census, women were asked a number of questions to find out what being homeless looks like for them. Where have you stayed in the last 3 months? Where were you staying most recently before sleeping rough? How many times have you slept rough in the last 3 months? What we know : that women experience homelessness differently to men; many women do not sleep on the streets; women are often hidden and do not get 'verified' by services. What we want : more women's-only accommodation; more creative outreach approaches to engage with women who do not sleep rough; prevent 'verification' being a barrier to accessing support and accommodation.
Flourish Award Win for the Rose Project

The Rose Project won the Safe and Secure Award at Norfolk County Council's 2025 Flourish Awards! These awards recognise organisations making a real difference to children and young people in Norfolk, and to be chosen from over 600 nominations is such an honour.

Swan Youth Project

The Magdalene Group recently delivered a Sexual and Reproductive Health session at Swan Youth Project in Downham Market. The session was met with great engagement, with young participants actively taking part in open and honest discussions around relationships, consent, and personal wellbeing. Thank you to Swan Youth Project for welcoming us and providing such a supportive space.

Afternoon Tea

The Trustees treated Suzi, CEO, and Sara, Head of Operations, to an afternoon tea at The Assembly Rooms, as a thank you for 15 years dedicated service to The Magdalene Group. Caroline, the longest serving trustee, said it was a delight to see how much the Charity had grown under their leadership.
