Exploitation Campaign Engagement Focus Group

To help shape the Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk's communications campaign on exploitation, organisations have been invited to help them test out key messages and give honest feedback so that their campaign is effective in reaching people at risk. There were two focus groups, aiming at projects working with adults and with under 18s. "Beth & I attended and found it incredibly helpful to speak to other services about unique challenges with their client groups. The resources shared are invaluable." Imogen Sagon & Beth McKay, frontline practitioners, who attended on behalf of our Doorway Women's Service.

MACE team visit

DCI Rachel Bell & DS Kerrie Atkin from the MACE (Multi-Agency Child Exploitation) team, were welcome guests this morning. The MACE team’s work focuses on identifying those at risk of becoming subject to exploitation, and putting in place intervention and support for individuals, families and the wider community. The team works to raise awareness of the threat of child exploitation, providing training and advice to front-line professionals on recognising the signs and understanding referral processes. It was a very interesting & worthwhile conversation around roles, processes & procedures, & best practice. We all agree that the relationship between our Rose Project and the MACE team is incredibly important; partnership working is key, & we will be looking at ways to further this.
