Vulnerability & Exploitation Conference 2024

The Doorway team are attending this online conference today; the event is aimed at investigators/practitioners and is focused on protecting children & adults affected by vulnerability-related risk and harm. "What stood out for me was the emphasis on the importance of local multi-agency workshops/meetings with focusing on those who would otherwise slip through the gaps. Doorway contribute by holding/chairing monthly women's partnership meetings, the aim of which is to discuss women who are sofa-surfing or vulnerably-housed; to co-ordinate care around these women who are hard to reach, to ensure that they get the best support and so that there is a 'no wrong door approach'. Spring sessions for professionals

Good feedback from February's session which was led by JK & Natalie. Our popular occasional sessions for professionals continue online for the moment; hosted by members of our Rose & Doorway teams, they provide not only an opportunity for us to share the work of The Magdalene Group but also for professionals from other agencies to talk about their roles and experiences, & between us we can share best practice. Spring sessions take place from 10 - 11 a.m. on the following dates : Tuesday 19th March, Tuesday 16th April and Wednesday 15th May.
