Live Life Safe : Suzy Lamplugh Trust

A full day's training, around the subject of personal safety & lone working, led by Liz Jebb of Suzi Lamplugh Trust, was enjoyed by the full team today. The session was lively & engaging with plenty of debate & activity, covering violence & aggression, risk assessments, professional boundaries, tracing systems & free apps, and with opportunities to share best practice & personal experiences. Good trainer, good company. Nice venue, nice lunch!

In-house online safety training

The staff team enjoyed this in-house online safety training today led by our colleague Laura. This training is aimed at professionals working with young people & vulnerable adults, & the intention is to provide a clearer understanding of the online risks; how does the online world facilitate sexual abuse & exploitation? and the different forms that this might take. We enjoyed lively discussion, looking at the benefits & risks of popular apps, and the science behind social media. Backed up by alarming statistics, Laura’s presentation was interesting, informative & thoroughly thought-provoking.
