Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people and inspire a national conversation. Coordinated in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre the celebration sees hundreds of organisations get involved to help promote the safe, responsible and positive use of digital technology for children and young people. Globally, Safer Internet Day is celebrated in over a hundred countries, coordinated by the joint Insafe/INHOPE network, with the support of the European Commission, and national Safer Internet Centres across Europe. The day offers the opportunity to highlight positive uses of technology and to explore the role we all play in helping to create a better and safer online community. It calls upon young people, parents, carers, teachers, social workers, law enforcement, companies, policymakers, and wider, to join together in helping to create a better internet. Foodbank

"On Monday afternoon we had a visit from a representative from the Foodbank. Hannah comprehensively explained the referral process, the relationship between the various Foodbanks across Norwich and Norfolk, and the Trussell Trust's nationwide partnership with First Bus which provides a vital service for those who are in crisis and find themselves without access to transport. We now have a better understanding of the service our clients will receive when they access the Foodbank, and were able to provide feedback about our clients' experiences which will hopefully contribute to their ongoing evaluation of best practise." Universal Credit session with the Department of Work and Pensions

"This morning we had a session with Ian from DWP, who spent an hour giving us a flavour of Universal Credit, how the roll-out of Universal Credit across Norwich/Norfolk might look, and how we as a service could provide support to people seeking to claim Universal Credit. It was very useful to have a face-to-face chat with someone so experienced in the processes of Universal Credit and to get some of our questions answered so that we can provide the best support possible." Evaluating Responses to Child Sexual Abuse

Sara attended the Evaluating Responses to Child Sexual Abuse event delivered by the Centre of Expertise on Child Sexual Abuse in London on the 14th January. The event was a great opportunity to learn across the sector what is being done around measuring impact and effectiveness of service delivery. Workshops included hearing about outcome measurement tools, developing a theory of change, running learning workshops, commissioning services and current research being undertaken by the Centre.
Well-being in the Workplace

Staff attended a workshop this morning led by Angela Norton, Psychological Well-being Practitioner, & accompanied by Polly Johnson, Senior Employment Advisor. Angela was a very engaging speaker, & we all found the NHS-funded session very worthwhile. Food for future thought as we focus on our well-being in the workplace.
Professional Boundaries training

"A small group of staff came together on Friday 11th January to receive training around Professional Boundaries, led by Tracy from Training and Assessment in Healthcare. The morning was really engaging and thought- provoking, encouraging us to carefully consider how we should appropriately respond in a number of scenarios when working with clients. We learnt the importance of self-awareness and how our emotions might affect our clarity in decision-making, as well as understanding how professional boundaries are in place to safeguard ourselves and our own well-being as well as that of our clients.
