Ahead of Trustees’ Week…….

Trustees’ Week is 1st -5th November 2021; this is an annual event to showcase the great work trustees do, to celebrate our boards and to provide opportunities for everyone to get involved and make a difference. There are 250,000 trustees across the country who help shape and guide voluntary sector organisations by playing a vital role, by volunteering precious time and by working together to make important decisions about an organisation’s work. Trustees’ Week is about celebrating their passion and commitment; it's also an opportunity to encourage new people to consider trusteeship. We support Trustees' Week, & would like to pass on our sincerest thanks to our lovely trustees - Georgie, Nick, Caroline, Janice, Rowland & Lucy - for all they do to support us at The Magdalene Group. Thank you is never enough.

For All Those Times

This really struck a chord with us .......... Elizabeth wrote this poem, part of her new collection, for all those who suffered childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, trauma, unwanted harassment and attention, put in a position of vulnerability, domestic violence and situations where they were never given a choice to say no. She has given her permission to share it with you :

Welcome….

Introduction to Safeguarding Children Training

The whole staff team, alongside two of our trustees, took part in Norfolk Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSCP) Introduction to Safeguarding Children Training 2021, today. Jim Blake, with vast knowledge & experience, was a thoroughly engaging trainer, & the team, as always, were ready with questions & contributions. A very worthwhile session. Thanks to The King's Centre for lovely venue & lovely lunch!
